L3 IT Support Technician Apprenticeship 2027

Location: Telford

Intake: September 2027

About the job you’re considering

Kick-start your career in IT with a team that keeps Capgemini connected and running smoothly. As part of our friendly and fast-paced Service Desk team, you’ll support thousands of colleagues across the business, helping them stay productive and deliver cutting-edge solutions to global clients.

This is a brilliant opportunity for apprentice-level candidates who are curious about technology and enjoy helping people. You don’t need to know everything yet, we’re looking for individuals with a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and strong customer service skills.

In this role, you’ll be the first point of contact for IT support, so being approachable, patient, and a great communicator is just as important as your technical interest. If you enjoy solving problems, working with others, and making someone’s day easier, you’ll fit right in.

Basic familiarity with Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office, Apple devices, or common hardware (like laptops and printers) is helpful but your mindset and enthusiasm matter most.

The apprenticeship with Baltic is a 18-month course in which you will study part time alongside your full-time role.

At Capgemini, we are helping shape a new age of intelligence, partnering with clients across industries to harness AI, technology, and human potential to drive meaningful change. During your first week, you will meet inspiring individuals, witness our team dynamics, and explore the stimulating projects that will influence your career. We are committed to supporting all our apprentices in developing their personal brand and exploring innovative thinking methods that will drive the solutions we deliver to our clients.

This role is based in our Telford office, so you’ll need to live within a commutable distance and be happy working on-site 5 days a week.

Your Role

As part of our Service Desk team, you’ll:

  • Be the friendly face and voice of IT support, helping colleagues resolve their technical issues
  • Deliver excellent customer service, ensuring every interaction is helpful, clear, and professional
  • Identify and troubleshoot faults, resolving incidents and requests within agreed timeframes (SLA targets)
  • Support mobile technology such as phones and laptops
  • Install and configure software and hardware
  • Set up and configure PCs, laptops, and MacBooks
  • Help with IT stores and equipment when needed
  • Support internal events with IT setup and assistance
  • Create and update simple support guides and documentation
  • Work on the Tech Table or Virtual Tech Table (once trained), directly assisting users with their queries
  • Occasionally visit nearby sites to provide hands-on IT support
