This is not your average higher education human resources leadership role. At CampusWorks, we partner with colleges and universities to transform the way HR delivers value — and we’re looking for a proven HR executive to serve as onsite Chief Human Resources Officer and trusted consultants.
In this unique role, you’ll bring your expertise as a higher ed HR leader to: • Elevate your impact by serving simultaneously as a CHRO and consultant. • Lead HR transformation initiatives that improve service delivery, compliance, and employee experience. • Design and implement HR strategies and systems that align with institutional goals and strengthen culture. • Partner directly with senior leadership and stakeholders to drive change, engagement, and accountability. • Stay connected to CampusWorks’ national network of experts and resources while making a lasting impact locally.
A hybrid presence may be required with frequent travel to client locations.

What We’re Looking For
- 10+ years of progressive HR leadership with at least 5 years as the head of HR in a higher education institution.
- A proven record of transforming HR services and delivery in higher education.
- Strong knowledge of HR systems (HCM, ATS, payroll/benefits) and compliance requirements.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and change management skills.
- Agility to navigate politically sensitive environments and shifting priorities.

Preferred: Master’s degree and/or SPHR/SHRM-SCP certification.
