High School Teacher – West Ada

Pathways in Education is looking for a High School Teacher to work with students in grades 9–12 at our West Ada location.


Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
Lunch: 1 hour uninterrupted
Salary: $50,252–$62,126 annually, depending on experience


You do not necessarily need to already hold an Idaho teaching certificate to be considered. Qualified candidates may be eligible to obtain a charter-school-specific teaching certificate through the school, allowing individuals with a bachelor’s degree and relevant professional experience to enter the classroom while pursuing the appropriate certification pathway.


Basic qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS)
  • Minimum 1 year of teaching experience or experience in a related/relevant field
  • Passion for working with high school students and supporting their academic and personal growth
  • Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills

Our Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Instruct students in multiple subjects using a variety of teaching methods, technologies, audiovisual aids, and other instructional materials.
  • Prepare course outlines following curriculum guidelines and state/school requirements.
  • Assist students in selecting appropriate courses of study.
  • Counsel students regarding academic and adjustment-related issues.
  • Meet with students and parents to discuss student progress and concerns.
  • Participate in community groups, faculty and professional meetings, educational conferences, and professional development opportunities.
  • Participate in student organizations and committees as appropriate.
  • Administer assessments, evaluate student progress, and maintain accurate records.
  • Maintain attendance records, student files, and transcripts.
  • Assist with state-mandated student testing.
  • Maintain files and documentation in preparation for audits.
  • Help maintain a clean, welcoming, and professional learning environment.
  • Manage administrative and educational programs related to digital teaching and learning.
  • Perform other administrative and educational duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to teach, mentor, and delegate responsibility to students.
  • Experience with educational technology, digital teaching, or online teaching/learning preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced, multi-task environment.
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with school and corporate staff to implement educational programs.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and professional judgment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with students, parents, coworkers, and business contacts.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and database management.

Education & Experience:

  • BA/BS degree
  • Minimum 1 year of teaching experience or relevant experience in a related field
  • Candidates who do not currently hold an Idaho teaching certificate may be eligible for a charter-school-specific certification pathway through PIE.
