What’s the role?

Looks after customer financing plans, accounts receivable and customer credit, and other large-scale, complex business initiatives. The role carries the initiatives that do not sit inside the reporting or planning cycle, and owns the cash consequence of the commercial terms the business agrees.

Sound Interesting?

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Own the customer loan program end to end: origination, assessment, documentation, approval routing and portfolio monitoring.
  • Operate the program strictly within its compliance framework, including the mandatory compliance gate and the requirement for written approval from the Global CFO of ZEISS Vision Care on every loan regardless of size.
  • Ensure loans remain clean seed capital with no linkage to purchase commitments or commercial terms, and escalate any proposed structure that would create such a linkage.
  • Own the accounts receivable position for the US business, including DSO, ageing profile, collections performance and the bad debt provision.
  • Own the customer credit policy: credit limits, assessment criteria, payment terms and the escalation path for accounts that breach them.
  • Supply an independent credit view into deal approval, so that customer risk is assessed alongside deal margin by a team with no stake in the margin decision.
  • Build and defend the business case for major initiatives, including investment cases going to the group.
  • Lead commercial and financial modelling for partnerships, major tenders and new channel entries.
  • Run post-investment review on completed initiatives so that commitments made at approval are held to account.
  • Lead and develop the Accounts Receivable Supervisor and, through them, the credit team.

 Do you qualify?

  • Ten or more years across commercial finance, corporate development or credit, with exposure to structured customer financing.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • Practical credit and receivables leadership: setting limits, running collections, and holding the position with a sales team that wants the order.
  • Comfortable working with Legal and Compliance on regulated structures; familiarity with Anti-Kickback Statute constraints is a strong advantage.
  • Proven ability to take an ambiguous initiative from idea to approved, funded and reviewed.
  • Senior presence with customers and with the group finance organization.

The annual  pay range for this position is $155,100 - $193,900.

The pay offered for this role may be influenced by factors such as job location, scope of role, qualifications, education, experience, & complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent.
