Head of Loyalty, Payments & Partnerships

Reports to: VP, Loyalty & Digital Experience

About Circle K

Circle K is one of the world's leading mobility and convenience retailers, serving millions of customers across thousands of locations everyday. Our ambition is to make everyday life easier for our customers by delivering convenient experiences, compelling value and innovative ways to shop, pay and engage with our brand.

As customer expectations evolve, the opportunity extends well beyond the products and services available in our stores. We have an opportunity to build a differentiated customer offer and experience around Circle K — one that combines loyalty, payments, personalized value, strategic partnerships and new sources of customer engagement and growth.

Role Overview

The Head of Loyalty, Payments & Partnerships will lead Circle K's integrated consumer offer, bringing together loyalty, proprietary payments and strategic partnerships to create a differentiated value proposition for customers and drive profitable growth.

The ideal candidate is a customer-obsessed, commercially minded and entrepreneurial leader who can connect loyalty, payments and partnerships into one integrated consumer strategy; creating compelling reasons for customers to choose Circle K more often, deepen their relationship with the brand and engage across our broader digital ecosystem.

They think beyond individual channels or functions, understand both customer and business economics, and can move seamlessly between long-term strategy, commercial opportunity and near-term execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define the integrated consumer strategy across loyalty, proprietary payments and partnerships, creating a differentiated customer value proposition.
  • Lead loyalty strategy and operations, driving membership growth, engagement, frequency, retention and customer lifetime value.
  • Lead Circle K's proprietary payment and card strategy, including customer acquisition, engagement, portfolio growth and economics.
  • Develop and manage strategic partnerships that enhance the customer proposition, expand Circle K's ecosystem and create new sources of customer and revenue growth.
  • Own go-to-market strategy for new consumer propositions, ensuring strong customer adoption and commercial results.
  • Identify new growth opportunities that extend Circle K's relationship with customers beyond the traditional convenience and fuel offering.
  • Partner across Marketing, Digital, Product, Technology, Merchandising, Operations and Finance to bring the consumer strategy to life.
  • Establish clear customer, financial and commercial KPIs and continuously optimize performance.

Experience

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in customer growth, loyalty, payments, partnerships, retail, financial services or related fields.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing customer and commercial strategies at scale.
  • Proven track record of building or growing customer propositions that drive acquisition, engagement, frequency, retention and revenue.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and complex initiatives from strategy through execution and measurable results.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, with the ability to evaluate customer economics, business cases and investment opportunities.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strategic partnerships and translate them into meaningful customer and business value.
  • Experience leading and developing high-performing teams in a complex, decentralized organization.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience leading or significantly contributing to a loyalty program, proprietary card portfolio, payments strategy or consumer membership ecosystem.
  • Experience in convenience, fuel, grocery, QSR, specialty retail or other high-frequency consumer businesses.
  • Experience in financial services, credit cards, payments or fintech, including understanding of payment and card economics.
  • Experience developing strategic partnerships, ecosystems or new consumer businesses.
  • Experience creating and launching differentiated consumer value propositions and go-to-market strategies.
  • Experience using customer data, personalization, experimentation and analytics to improve customer and commercial outcomes.
  • Experience identifying and scaling new sources of growth beyond a company's traditional core offering.
