The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer (Associate/Experienced) (UI Focus) with experience in software engineering and architecting to support the Denali Software team located in Herndon, Virginia. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) software engineering organization.

The Denali software team is a dynamic group of curious, bold, and innovative software engineers striving for excellence in delivering quality products to end users. The software team is executing this vision through modern software technologies (Java, CI/CD pipelines) and methodologies (Scaled Agile).

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, high-performing software engineer with the aptitude for designing, developing, and maintaining complex multi-tiered application software systems. The software engineer will work day-to-day with a team of systems engineers, test engineers, and other software engineers to execute future vision.

Position Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead the design, development, testing, and ongoing maintenance of non-embedded software across the full end-to-end lifecycle to meet industry, customer, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze and translate customer requirements into clear, practical initial software designs that align with project goals.
  • Develop, maintain, enhance, and optimize software products and features to enable robust system integration.
  • Create, document, and preserve architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and detailed designs that support reliable implementation.
  • Diagnose and resolve defects to ensure software reliability, efficiency, and performance.
  • Manage user inquiries, troubleshoot technical issues, and analyze feedback to drive product improvements.
  • Evaluate and adopt current and emerging technologies, tools, and frameworks while incorporating relevant regulatory changes.
  • Establish, monitor, and continuously improve software processes, tools, and key performance metrics to align work with organizational objectives and industry benchmarks.
  • Execute and document software research and development projects.
  • Provide technical guidance on software domains, system-specific challenges, processes, and regulatory considerations.
  • Perform software project management activities and oversee supplier relationships to ensure timely, high-quality deliverables.
  • Track and assess team and supplier performance to ensure products and processes comply with project plans and industry standards.


This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): 


  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Active Top Secret and SCI eligible
  • 2+ years of experience with Java, C++, Angular / React.js, HTML, and CSS languages
  • 2+ years of experience with developing software products in a cloud environment
  • 1+ years of experience with Docker and Kubernetes
  • 1+ years of experience with Agile methodologies

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):  


  • Level 3: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to synthesize software architectures and designs that meet requirements, characteristics, and constraints
  • Knowledge of software development processes in compliance with established internal and industry standards, guidelines, and best practices in development, testing, and deployment of software
  • Knowledge of software development and testing tools, capability, and usage. Examples include compilers, debuggers, data analysis tools, graphical user interfaces builders, and post processing tools
  • 3+ years of experience in Java, Angular, HTML, and CSS Languages
  • 3+ years of experience in Linux and AWS environments
  • 3+ years of experience in VSCode, Maven, and Gitlab
  • 3+ years of experience using Agile methodologies and Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, BitBucket)
  • 3+ years of experience with WildFly, NoSQL Databases (specifically MongoDB), REST API integration, and Kubernetes with Helm
  • 2+ years of experience with Cloud Microservice Architectures

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary Pay Range/level 2: $106,250 - $143,750

Summary Pay Range/level 3: $135,150 - $182,850
