Finance - Trainee

Job Summary

The Finance Trainee at GE Healthcare will gain foundational experience in various financial operations, supporting the finance team in critical areas such as Billing and Cash operations. This role is designed for individuals seeking to develop a comprehensive understanding of finance within a global healthcare technology company.

Job Responsibilities

• Support preparation, processing, and tracking of customer invoices.
• Coordinate with internal teams to resolve billing issues, missing information, and invoice discrepancies.
• Monitor outstanding invoices and support follow-up on overdue receivables.
• Assist with cash collection activities and maintain collection trackers.
• Support allocation and reconciliation of customer payments against outstanding invoices.
• Help investigate unapplied cash, payment discrepancies, and other reconciliation items.
• Maintain accurate billing and collection records and supporting documentation.
• Prepare basic reports on billing status, overdue receivables, collections, and cash performance.
• Work with Finance, Commercial, and Operations teams to support timely issue resolution.
• Support month-end activities related to billing, receivables, and cash as required.
• Identify opportunities to simplify trackers, reporting, and routine finance processes.

Job Qualifications

• Recent graduate student in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with financial data.
• Good communication and follow-up skills.
• Organized, proactive, and comfortable working across different teams.
• Willingness to learn finance systems and develop practical experience in billing, receivables, and cash management.

Hands-on exposure to the order-to-cash cycle, including billing, accounts receivable, cash collection, reconciliation, reporting, and cross-functional finance operations.
