Job Description

NETZSCH Premier Technologies is seeking a hands-on Facility and Maintenance Technician to keep our buildings, equipment, grounds, and Application Center safe, functional, and well maintained. In this role, you will perform preventive maintenance and repairs, coordinate facility services, and help minimize downtime in a cost-effective manner.  Specifically you will:

  • Maintain building security, cleaning, sanitation, grounds, and waste-management services.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot problems, and repair machinery and equipment, including Application Center equipment, forklifts, compressors, pneumatic tools, motors, and welders.
  • Maintain workshop tools, company fleet vehicles, equipment records, maintenance reports, and Application Center supplies.
  • Support OSHA, environmental, health, and safety requirements; maintain required documentation and participate on the safety committee.
  • Help train employees on equipment use and maintain training records.
  • Manage priorities independently, meet deadlines, and support workplace and workflow improvements.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Two to three years of proven experience in facilities management, maintenance, or similar experience.
  • Experience with hoists, cranes, hand and power tools, calipers, rulers, and other measuring or testing instruments.
  • Strong troubleshooting, organization, communication, and project-coordination skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with employees, vendors, and other project partners.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Teams, Word, and Outlook; ERP experience is preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to maintain forklift and HAZMAT shipping certifications.

Additional Information

Work Environment
This active position requires frequent walking and regular standing, bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, pushing, and pulling. Work may take place in confined spaces, outdoors, at heights, or on ladders and scaffolding. The role requires regularly handling 10–20 pounds, frequently handling 25–50 pounds, and occasionally handling 50–100 pounds.  This role is primarily based in an industrial testing facility with machinery, moving parts, electrical equipment, and materials that require proper handling. Safety training and personal protective equipment will be provided, and safe work practices are expected at all times.
