Experienced Veterinary Nurse - Greencross Vets Willows
Company Description
Job Description
Veterinary Nurse (Full-Time) | Greencross Vets Willows | Townsville, QLD πΎ
Some clinics are just workplaces. Others become a second family.
At Greencross Vets Willows, we've built something pretty special over the last 30+ years. We're looking for an experienced Veterinary Nurse to join a team that genuinely loves coming to work, supports each other through the hard days, celebrates the wins together, and never loses sight of why we do what we do: caring for pets and the people who love them.
If you're searching for another corporate clinic, this probably isn't it.
If you're searching for a clinic where people laugh together, check in on each other, share team lunches, wear colourful scrubs, spoil each other's pets, and rally around every patient that comes through the door, keep reading.
π‘ A Clinic with History, Heart and Soul
Greencross Vets Willows holds a special place in the Greencross story. Originally founded in Townsville in 1994 by Dr Glen Richards, this was the very first Greencross clinic before the business expanded across Australia.
Today, while we've grown, we've never lost that local community feel.
Walk through our doors and you'll quickly notice that Willows doesn't feel like every other clinic. Our clinic has a warm, rustic charm that reflects the people inside it. You'll find a beautiful hand-painted mural lovingly created by the team, colourful scrubs year-round, festive Christmas outfits in December, and plenty of laughter echoing through the treatment area.
It's the kind of place where team BBQs happen regularly, lunch breaks are often spent together, and there is always someone ready with a coffee, a cuddle, or a helping hand when it's needed.
β€οΈ Meet the Team
At the heart of our clinic is Dr Wendy, our incredible Vet Director.
Wendy is the type of veterinarian who will never turn away a patient in need. She is deeply respected by clients, adored by her team, and known throughout the local community for her compassion, clinical excellence, and unwavering dedication to animal care.
Her energy is infectious. Her passion lifts the entire team. She leads with kindness, supports her people, and creates an environment where everyone feels valued.
The nursing team is equally special.
The team genuinely enjoy spending time together both inside and outside of work. They're quick to share knowledge, celebrate achievements, and support one another through busy days. New team members are welcomed with open arms and quickly become part of the family.
