Environmental Services & Facilities Technician (Full Time)

What You'll Do:

The Environmental Services & Facilities Technician helps maintain a clean, safe, and fully operational facility by performing routine housekeeping, floor care, biohazard cleanup, and minor maintenance and repair tasks. This position responds to work orders, troubleshoots cleaning equipment, coordinates with vendors, manages environmental services supplies, and identifies Environment of Care concerns to support regulatory compliance and operational readiness. Through dependable service and attention to detail, the technician helps create a welcoming environment for employees, patients, and visitors.

• Facility Maintenance & Operations
  • Perform routine, rotational maintenance to ensure equipment and facility operations run smoothly
  • Troubleshoot any cleaning equipment issues including electrical, mechanical, and process issues independently, identifying and resolving root causes
  • Provide occasional assistance in facility maintenance tasks as needed
• Work Order & Vendor Coordination  
  • Respond to repair and maintenance tickets submitted  by internal departments  in a timely manner
  • Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for outsourced repairs, ensuring timely  follow-up and resolution
  • Oversee floor care vendor performance
• Inventory & Supply Management  
  • Order housekeeping and EVS supplies, monitor inventory levels, and report on supply status
  • Receive, organize, and distribute supplies throughout the facility
• Compliance & Environment of Care  
  • Report Environment of Care concerns through the ticketing system to support Safety Committee documentation and compliance
  • Ensure adherence to facility standards related to safety, maintenance, and operational readiness
• Facility Cleanliness & Upkeep  
  • Maintain overall facility cleanliness, including floor care, general cleaning, restroom upkeep, and window cleaning
  • Restock supplies and perform additional cleaning duties as needed to support a safe and functional environment  

What You'll Bring:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 2 years experience in housekeeping/janitorial cleaning
• Working knowledge of: Cleaning best practices and floor care
• The Company has a mandatory vaccination policy. All successful applicants must be fully vaccinated, including showing proper documentation, or otherwise be exempt pursuant to the Company’s exemption process prior to their start date as a condition of employment
• Must have flu shot or exemption requiring masking during company established flu season
• Must pass the following background checks:
  • Child Abuse Clearance
  • FBI Criminal Background Check
  • Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check
  • Medical screenings (physical, TB, and drug test)

It would be great if you had:

• Previous healthcare facility experience
• 1 year of experience performing tasks requiring mechanical aptitude
• Knowledge of the methods, practices, materials, and tools used in the maintenance
• Knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions involved in the use of mechanical equipment and chemicals
