What you’ll do in this role:  

The primary purpose of this   role   is to   p rovide strategic   technical   guidance and oversight to   pioneering   development s that support Integer’s goals.   You will be involved in the full life cy c le of projects from   inception   to   completion . As the authority in your field ,   you will provide guidance and   technical   leadership to other s   across Integer.  

• You adhere   to Integer’s Values and all safety, environmental, security and quality requirements including, but not limited to: Quality Management Systems (QMS), Safety, Environmental and Security Management Systems, U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, company policies and operating procedures, and other regulatory requirements.   

• You are recognized as a subject matter expert within Integer and   challenged to solve unique and complex problems that have a broad impact on the business.  

• You   lead and   direct   the technical aspects of new product   or process   development program s and the ongoing support activities to sustain operations   for a product line or site.   Your contributions enable continuous improvement opportunities   resulting in   improved performance and/or cost reduction opportunities for   new and   existing products.  

• You may provide supervision   for   up to 4 to 5   engineeri ng   direct reports.    As well, you will serve as a   coach and mentor   for other engineers, modeling the behaviors and disciplines of an engineering or technical professional.  

• You   provide   direction and administrative organization for the design and engineering services departments and set priorities for utilization of resources on new   projects or   programs .  

• You   interact   with a   global customer base and   are   responsible for interface/travel for customer interaction and communication.    As such, you work c losely with customers and   sales   management to establish, maintain and improve relationships.  

• Your skills and experiences   are   leveraged to   discover and promote   new business and market opportuni ties   as well as production performance improvements.  

• You   may   r eview, initiate, and approve engineering designs, reports, change orders, material and process specifications.  

• You embed Q uality within the Engineering discipline – “I own Quality.”    You   are a   standard bearer for Quality in everything we do at Integer, by assuring adherence to our Quality Management System (QMS),   facilitating and/or contributing to corrective and preventive actions, and contributing to the successful attainment of our quality KPI’s and journey to 5 Sigma.  

• You perform   other duties, as needed and as directed  

Provide technical leadership in support of   Integer’s   Manufacturing Excellence and Market Focused Innovation   Strategies  

• You   champion   the development of and   deployment of the systems and tools to   drive   innovation and   continuous improvement .  

• You embrace   the   Manufacturing Excellence culture based on the Integer Production System and   its   five focus   a reas:    

• Strategy Alignment   through Site Hoshin Plans, the regular cadence of Sales, Inventory, and Operations’ Planning (SiOP) meetings, and regular updates to the   value stream   maps.   

• Leadership of Sustained Change   by ensuring   production   monitoring &   improvement   activities and deployment of   Leader Standard Work .  

• Standardi z ation   through workplace organization & v isual   controls (5S), Manufacturing Standard Work, and robust training &   certification   programs .    

• Associate Engagement   promoted through the adoption of standardized problem solving .   methodologies,   behavior-based   safety programs, and improvement idea and suggestion systems .  

• Systems & Process Optimization   through adoption of principles of b uilt in   quality, optimized scheduling & material system designs, work cell design, and total productive maintenance .  

How you   will be measured :

• Safety is our highest priority; you will be an active supporter   of the Integer SAFE-T program .   

• You will have defined Goals and Objectives specifying key projects and expected milestones to achieve.   Given your capabilities and experience, you will identify ways to shorten the project durations   and make systemic changes to current processes and procedures that enable greater efficiencies.    

• Innovation and ideation are critical aspects of your role and you will be expected to generate continuous improvement suggestions and support the implementation of them.  

• As a result of completing assigned projects and initiatives, you will demonstrate evidence of delivering the   expected   results .    

• Your expertise, coupled with your accomplishments and collaboration with others to deliver results, will enable the accumulation of   incremental savings ’ opportunities which will be tracked.  

• For assigned projects, you will establish and adhere to   schedules and   budgets.   

What sets you apart:  

• You are technically renowned as a subject matter expert , a recognition you have earned through 10+ years of progressive engineering and/or technically focused roles and experiences.  

• Y our abilities to observe, analyze and develop solutions to complex technical   challenges   result in the delivery of break-through results in areas such as productivity, technical capabilities, capacities, or other competitive differentiators in a   particular market   or product segment.  

• You earned, as a   minimum ,   a   Bachelor’s   Degree   in an engineering or related   technical   field .  Preferably, you also have   a   Master’s   degree or   a Doctorate .     

• You have a strong foundation, and preferably training and certifications, in a variety of problem - solving   and project management platforms   such as 6-Sigma (green belt as a minimum, black belt preferred), 8D, RCA, 5-Why, Ishikawa (Fish Bone) ,   Kepner-Tregoe,   PMP.    

• You work independently as well as collaboratively with cross functional teams.  

• You have the   well-developed skill s   for planning, executing, and delivering projects on time and on budget .  

• Because your role involves customer and supplier interactions, travel, both domestic and international, will be required at times.  The duration and frequency of such travel may vary by assignment and may include extended   periods of time , as needed.  

• You have the   financial acumen to navigate a typical Profit and Loss Statement, explain ing   how the delivered results from this role can affect the Site’s   financial performance.  

• You maintain a   calm demeanor that transcends the high energy, constantly changing production environment .  

• You possess a   positive, can-do attitude with an underlying belief that failure is not an option .
