Electrical Technician

Job Description Summary We are looking for an experienced Electrical Technician to join the new Etgal O&M, located in the port of Ashdod.
In this position, you will work in shifts and be responsible to execute planned and unplanned electrical maintenance activities on equipment covered in the scope of the contract with the Customer. Job Description

Ess en t ia l Re s pon s ibili t ie s

1. E x e c u t e electrical related m ain t enan ce a c t i v i t ie s a cc o r din g t o t h e wo r k pla n p r o v ide d b y t h e Co m pu t e r i z e d M ain t enan ce M anage m en t S y s t e m ( C MM S).

2. Perform operations monitoring rounds in the field and support the maintenance of the equipment with routine checks and r epo rt an y de f i c ien c ie s whe n iden t i f ie d.

3. E x e c u te an d a ss i st i n r ou t in e maintenance o f plan t an d equip m en t, as well as troubleshooting.

4. M ain t ai n an d upda t e al l ope r a t io n r ou t ine s, sc hedule s, an d r epo r t s wi t h r ele v an t plan t ope r a t in g da t a.

5. Support outage preparation and execution.

6. Re c o mm en d s pa re pa r t s and s upplie s needed, an d gene r a t e purchasing r equi s i t ion s accordingly, as well as control plant inventory via the CMMS system.

7. Receive and check parts, tools and materials and record details (Identification number, Quantity, prices, etc.…) of items stored in the power plant's warehouse.

8. Apply LoTo and Permit to Work System related to activities in the plant, in accordance with GE policies and local legislation.

9. Follow strict Health, Safety and Environmental policies and quality procedures.

10. Assist cost reduction efforts b y e ff i c ien t u se o f c on s u m able s, pa r t s, an d t ool s.  

11. Perform   additional   duties   as   required.

Qualifications

1. Electrical Technician/Practical Engineer from an accredited College/University, holding an Israeli Electrical License  

2. Minimum 3 years ’ experience in a similar position, working in an industrial environment, preferably in a combined cycle power plant

3. Knowledge of engineering practices, functions and processes involved in the operation and maintenance of a power plant

4. Fluent Hebrew and English (both verbal and written)

5. Willingness to work in 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as well as be on-call when needed

6. Good organization skills and teamwork

7. Hands on approach and able to work autonomously

8. Reliable and proactive
