About This Role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced ELA Content Teacher to join our San Jose team.

This is a full-time role that combines classroom teaching, academic operations, teacher training, and instructional leadership . You will teach Think Academy's elementary ELA courses while also helping improve teaching quality, support and train other teachers, and contribute to the day-to-day operation of our ELA teaching team.

This role is ideal for an educator who loves teaching but is also interested in growing beyond the classroom. Strong performers will have the opportunity to take on increasing leadership responsibilities and potentially grow into a Teaching Management Lead role.

What You'll Do Teaching — Approximately 10–15 hours/week

• Teach live online ELA small-group classes focused on Reading, Speaking, and Writing for elementary students.

Teaching Preparation & Student Support — Approximately 15–20 hours/week

• Prepare lessons using Think Academy's curriculum and teaching resources.
• Grade student work and provide timely, constructive feedback.
• Communicate with students and parents about learning progress when needed.

Teacher Training & Teaching Quality 5-7 hours/week

• Support onboarding and training for new ELA teachers.
• Observe classes and provide practical feedback to help teachers improve.
• Share best practices and support consistent teaching quality across the team.

What We're Looking For:

• Native-level English proficiency and a bachelor's degree; fresh graduates are welcome to apply .
• Prior tutoring, teaching assistant, or other student-facing teaching experience is strongly preferred.
• Eager to learn and grow, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Responsible and caring when working with students and families, with strong ownership of the student experience.
• Interested in growing into a teacher leadership or teaching management role.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week salaried position based in San Jose, California.

• Tuesday–Friday: Onsite at our San Jose office.
• Weekend: Teach on either Saturday or Sunday , depending on class scheduling.
• Approximately 10–15 hours per week will be dedicated to teaching.
• Approximately 25–30 hours per week will focus on teacher training, student support (grading homework, communicating with parents regarding the concerns, teacher training, and other teaching-quality initiatives.

Because this role supports both students and teachers, some working hours will align with live class schedules, including afternoons, evenings, and weekends.

Compensation

• Annual Salary: $72,000–$80,400, depending on experience and qualifications.
• Performance Bonus: Eligible for performance-based bonuses.
• Full-time salaried position.
