Your Role at Baxter
As Distribution & Logistics Supervisor
, you will define and execute the logistics strategy for warehousing and national distribution operations, ensuring alignment with Baxter's business objectives, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. You will lead continuous improvement initiatives, optimize service and cost performance, manage strategic logistics partnerships, and serve as a key connector across internal and external stakeholders. Your success will be measured through operational excellence, customer satisfaction, compliance, and the achievement of critical business and financial goals.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead the execution of national distribution and warehousing strategies that improve service levels, operational efficiency, and customer experience.
- Identify and implement logistics optimization opportunities that enhance network performance while achieving cost, quality, safety, and service targets.
- Partner with Procurement and key stakeholders to manage transportation and warehousing sourcing activities, supporting successful supplier selection and performance outcomes.
- Analyze operational performance metrics, present business insights, and implement corrective actions that drive continuous improvement and KPI achievement.
- Collaborate with shared service teams, logistics providers, and business partners to ensure effective communication and alignment across the end-to-end supply chain.
- Manage logistics budgets and cost centers, ensuring responsible financial stewardship and achievement of business objectives.
- Ensure compliance with Baxter quality standards, corporate policies, and applicable government regulations, including supporting audits and maintaining a strong compliance culture.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience leading distribution, transportation, warehousing, or logistics operations within a complex environment.
- Experience managing third-party logistics providers (3PLs), transportation partners, or warehousing operations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience using KPIs to drive operational improvements and business decisions.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders across multiple levels of an organization.
- Experience managing budgets, cost optimization initiatives, and operational performance targets.
- Knowledge of logistics compliance requirements, quality standards, and operational risk management practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within healthcare, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, consumer healthcare, or a highly regulated industry.
- Advanced knowledge of transportation management, warehousing, and distribution best practices.
- Experience supporting external audits and regulatory inspections.
- Continuous improvement, Lean, Six Sigma, or operational excellence training/certification.
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and supply chain performance management.
