Job Description

Role Purpose

The purpose of this role is to interpret data and turn into information (reports, dashboards, interactive visualizations etc) which can offer ways to improve a business, thus affecting business decisions.

J͏ob Description:-

Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models.

•  Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective database designs.

•  Develop and enforce data modeling standards, naming conventions, and best practices.

• Create Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERDs) and database documentation.

•  Perform data normalization and denormalization based on business and performance requirements.

•  Collaborate with data architects and business analysts to define data structures and relationships

•   Develop, test, and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, functions, and triggers.

•  Troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues.

•  Perform query tuning, indexing strategies, and database optimization.

•   Ensure data quality, consistency, and accuracy across systems.

•   Support reporting, analytics, and business intelligence initiatives.

•    Monitor database performance and storage utilization.

•   Assist with database migrations, upgrades, and deployments.

•   Implement backup, recovery, and security procedures.

•   Support Agile/Scrum development processes.

•   Experience with database platforms:

o   Oracle and SQL Server

•    Data Modelling tools:

o  ERwin Data Modeler,  ER/Studio,  Oracle SQL Developer Data Modeler and PowerDesigner
