Customer Services Administrator

Hybrid Manchester, United Kingdom

Company Description

Job Description

Start your career helping make investing feel good

We're looking for people who want to build a career, learn something new and make a difference to our customers.

As a Customer Services Administrator, you'll join one of our Client Servicing teams, helping customers with the things that matter to them. This could mean supporting investment transfers, processing pension benefits, helping with new business, supporting customers through bereavement, working with SIPP accounts or providing essential business support.

It's a broad role, with opportunities across different teams depending on our business needs, your interests and where your skills could make the biggest difference. Wherever you join, you'll be part of the team helping our customers manage their investments and pensions with confidence.

You don't need previous financial services experience to be successful. We'll give you the training, support and knowledge you need to build your confidence and develop your career from day one.

What you'll be doing

The work will vary depending on the team you join, but you'll be helping us deliver a great experience for our customers by:

  • Processing customer requests accurately and efficiently
  • Supporting customers with their investments, pensions and accounts
  • Checking information, completing administrative processes and keeping records up to date
  • Working with colleagues across AJ Bell to resolve queries and keep things moving
  • Following processes and controls carefully to make sure customers are supported safely and correctly
  • Learning about financial services and building your knowledge as you develop
  • Looking for ways to improve how we work and make things simpler for our customers and colleagues

Some teams are more customer-facing, while others are focused on the operational work that happens behind the scenes. In every team, your work will contribute to delivering the service our customers rely on.

What we're looking for

We're looking for people who are curious, organised and keen to learn. You don't need to have worked in financial services before. We're more interested in your potential, your attitude and your ability to learn.

You'll bring:

  • A minimum of 5 GCSEs at grades 9-4 (A*-C), or equivalent, including Maths and English
  • Good numerical ability and attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Competent IT skills, including experience using Excel
  • The ability to organise your workload, meet deadlines and work independently when needed
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • An interest in financial services and in helping us deliver a great experience for our customers

Previous experience in financial services, administration or customer service is helpful, but it's not essential. Full training and support will be provided.

Where could this role take you?

This is an opportunity to start building a long-term career at AJ Bell.

With opportunities across a range of Client Servicing teams, you'll have the chance to learn about different areas of our business and develop skills that can take you in many different directions.

You could start in one area and, as your knowledge and experience grow, explore new opportunities across Client Servicing or the wider business.

We're continuing to grow, with multiple opportunities available across our teams, and inductions for new starters taking place every three weeks.
