A BOUT THE TEAM

The Corporate Strategy Group is part of the S&O board area and consists of Strategy & Transformation project teams, the CMI team as well as the Corporate Portfolio Team. The strategic project teams shape SAP’s strategy and drive the execution of SAP’s transformation in collaboration with the CEO, COO, and the Executive Board of SAP. 

YOUR FUTURE POSITION

You will be a core contributor to SAP’s corporate strategy and transformation by advising SAP's Executive Board and executives on key strategic decisions. As a Director you will shape and drive high-priority cross-functional, Executive Board-sponsored strategic / transformational projects. In a highly dynamic team, you will work on setting-up those projects and driving them especially through the strategy phase. To ensure end-to-end ownership and fast strategy to execution you will continue to support them also along the transformation phase.

Main responsibilities:

• Engage actively in SAP’s transformation towards a Business AI company
• Drive key aspects of a strategy project incl. e.g., identifying issues, forming hypotheses, designing and conducting qualitative and quantitative analyses across a broad range of topics, synthesizing conclusions, driving stakeholder consensus, deriving a strategy and an executable plan
• Take prominent roles in shaping and executing strategic initiatives and transformation projects end-to-end – from the start of a project through its transformation
• Facilitate proactive stakeholder and expectation management; build-up and maintain a large network across all involved roles on operational level to support collaboration & execution
• Act as trusted advisor and strategy evangelist to SAP's senior leaders and executives

YOUR PROFILE

• Strong professional experience in a Project Leader function
• First experience in leading strategic programs – with senior- and board-level stakeholders and ability to drive multiple in parallel 
• Experience across a range of strategic topics (e.g., technology strategy, AI, M&A, finance, organizational development, commercial & operational excellence)
• Proven AI, software and technology expertise demonstrated 
• Fast problem solving, independently, and constantly ‘thinks on his/her feet’
• Outstanding analytical skills with the ability to prepare analyses in short timeframes
• Strong communication skills, esp. for presentation design and story lining for target groups across Board Areas
• Maturity and self-confidence to interact with high-level executives in- and outside of SAP
• Resiliency to working under time and management pressure with a high degree of flexibility
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Excel, PowerPoint) as well as with AI tools (Joule Work, Claude Code) required
• Excellent knowledge of English required, knowledge of German is a plus
