In this role, you’ll prepare and serve nutritious, appealing meals according to established menus and USDA guidelines. You’ll help maintain food quality and a clean, organized kitchen, accommodate dietary restrictions, monitor supplies, reduce food waste, and collaborate with team members to meet client needs. You’ll also have opportunities to contribute ideas for menu planning, nutrition improvements, and special events.

Key Responsibilities:
· Prepare and serve nutritious, appealing meals according to established menus and USDA guidelines
· Create alternative meals as needed to accommodate dietary restrictions and individual client needs
· Contribute ideas for menu planning, nutrition improvements, and food preparation for special events
· Coordinate daily meal preparation, including safely thawing and preparing frozen meats
· Maintain food quality and safety standards, including monitoring and recording meal temperatures
· Minimize food waste and appropriately utilize leftovers within required timeframes
· Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen by cleaning dishes, equipment, and work areas
· Monitor kitchen inventory and communicate supply needs to the manager
· Maintain accurate daily logs and records of menu substitutions
· Collaborate with coworkers and other departments to help meet client needs and provide a positive, supportive experience
Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications:
· High School Diploma or GED required
· Minimum of one year of employment history in food service or a related field
Additional Qualifications:
· Basic understanding of nutrition is beneficial
