Summary
Supports leadership within the Leonard Parker Pool Institute for Health in advancing community health, community development, and population health improvement initiatives through data-driven evaluation, analysis, and reporting. The individual in this role will support the evaluation of the implementation of collaborative and strategic efforts and informing next steps based on data and information. Supports cross-sector data partnerships with partner organizations, including the Pool Center for Health Analytics (PCHA), leveraging public and social data informing efforts to improve the health of vulnerable populations. Guides internal and external stakeholders, and collaborative partners to design, collect, and visualize quantitative and qualitative data aimed at improving the social determinants of health.

Job Duties
  • Manage and support evaluation activities, including data collection, analysis, reporting, and performance measurement for community health and health improvement initiatives.
  • Assists with data cleaning and tracking and report outs to leadership, community, and funders to drive performance of improvement initiatives.
  • Advances community health improvement through project leadership and in close partnership with IS&T (Pool Center for Health Analytics).
  • Put together monthly, quarterly, or yearly evaluation reports, summarizing quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Partner with internal departments (e.g., Jefferson Community Health, Lehigh Valley Region Campuses), community organizations, government agencies, and academic collaborators to advance community health priorities, data sharing, and collective impact efforts
  • Design, implement, and analyze surveys and other primary data collection efforts using quantitative and qualitative research methodologies.
  • Conduct community health surveillance, needs assessments, literature reviews, and environmental scans to identify trends, opportunities, and evidence-based practices.
  • Leverage geographic and population-level data to support strategic planning, community investments, and initiatives addressing health disparities and the social drivers of health.
  • Support the development and implementation of evaluation frameworks and outcome measurement strategies to assess program effectiveness and guide continuous improvement.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree Public Health, Population Health, Community Health, Program Evaluation, Health Equity, or other relevant area.
  • 3 years data analysis skills including advanced Microsoft Excel skills and
  • 3 years survey design and analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of colleagues and stakeholders
  • Demonstrated expertise in program output and outcome metrics design and composition of reports and presentations (data visualization)
  • Demonstrated expertise in communicating data effectively to a diverse set of community and executive stakeholders
  • Strong qualitative research methodology experience
  • Excellent Microsoft Office 365 skills include Excel, Word, and Power Point
  • Strong written communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent organizational abilities to manage multiple projects simultaneously using project management systems and processes

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish

    Physical Demands
    Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
