P&C IT Services provides professional services to help our business units and corporate functions use technology to create, manage, and optimize information and business processes.  IT Services can include a wide range of activities such as: software development, data management, Cloud services, IT security, network security, technical support, establishing and overseeing access rights, procuring and maintaining equipment or software, managing the infrastructure, and defining security procedures,  The overall goal of IT Services is to provide technology solutions that increase efficiency, reduce costs, and give our company a competitive advantage over our competitors.

The Reporting Systems team is seeking a Cloud Data Platform Intern for summer 2027.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with developing and maintaining Python-based data processing and automation solutions, including integrations with REST APIs, databases, and Snowflake.
• Write clean and reusable Python code
• Work with API authentication and error handling
• Query and manage data using SQL
• Support ETL and data pipeline workflows
• Help validate data quality
• Troubleshoot pipeline issues
• Maintain technical documentation and operational logs
• Collaborate with senior engineers and analysts to deliver solutions while following coding, Git, and development best practices.

Requirements:

Ability to work in the office at minimum three days a week.

Education:

• Pursuing a degree In Computer Science or related
• 2030 graduation year preferred

Experience/skills:

• Proficient in Python (data manipulation, API calls, error handling). 
• APIs: Experience with REST API integration and JSON/XML data formats. 
• Databases: SQL skills; familiarity with Snowflake preferred. 
• Version Control: Basic knowledge of Git/GitHub. 
• Problem-Solving: Ability to debug and resolve issues independently.
