This position is Remote
Identifies trends and patterns in cancer incidence to inform clinical decisions. Abstracts required cancer-related information into the electronic cancer registry system. Coordinates and maintains the long-term follow-up process for cancer registry patients. Collaborates with healthcare professionals to provide insights and support research initiatives. Provides data for patient care evaluations and protocol studies. Generates statistical reports and summaries to support oncology services. Other duties as assigned. Identifies and analyzes the history, diagnosis, treatment, disease status, and survival data of cancer patients. Prepares and electronically submits required reporting information to state and national cancer databases. Conducts audits to ensure data accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards. Utilizes data analysis tools to enhance reporting capabilities. Communicates findings and insights to stakeholders effectively. Collects, organizes, and ensures the accuracy of cancer-related data from various sources.

• Analytical Thinking -Making judgments on stage grouping, coding and treatment classification-[Required]
• Communication-Clear written communication for documentation and collaboration-Required.
• Maintaining HIPPA compliance-[Required]
• Adhering to federal and state reporting guidelines-[Required]
Education:
• Associate's in Health Information Management [Required]
• High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
Field of Study:
• N/A
Work Experience:
• 2+ years abstracting experience in CoC approved cancer program [Required]
• Cancer registry experience [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:
• National Cancer Registrars’ Association (NCRA) [Required]
