What role you will play in our team

We are seeking an experienced Business Venture Manager to support the successful implementation and operationalization of strategic business initiatives across our trading businesses.

This role serves as the bridge between business stakeholders, project teams, and operational functions, ensuring that new business opportunities, capabilities and processes are effectively integrated into day-to-day operations. The successful candidate will work closely with Trading, Market Risk, Scheduling, Accounting, Credit, Compliance, and Information Technology teams to translate strategic objectives into sustainable operating models.

The ideal candidate combines strong commercial understanding of energy trading with exceptional stakeholder management, organizational change, and project delivery skills.

What you will do

• Partner with the Project Manager to deliver digital transformation and business implementation initiatives on time, within scope, budget, and quality targets.
• Serve as the primary business representative for projects, driving stakeholder alignment and ensuring business objectives are achieved.
• Define, manage, and prioritize business requirements, scope, and user stories to support successful solution delivery.
• Ensure project objectives, business strategy, and expected benefits remain aligned throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate business resources and subject matter experts, proactively addressing resource constraints and delivery risks.
• Lead business readiness activities, including data preparation, testing, process design, training, and organizational change management.
• Oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure solutions meet business requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Develop and execute communication, training, go-live, and transition-to-support plans to enable successful adoption.
• Participate in project governance, steering committee reviews, and risk management activities.
• Drive continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and incorporating best practices into future initiatives.

What you bring

• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, influencing, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to translate business objectives into actionable plans and measurable outcomes.
• Experience leading business transformation, system implementation, organizational change, and process improvement initiatives.
• Solid understanding of project, program, and change management methodologies.
• Strong risk management, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
• Ability to anticipate challenges, identify dependencies, and proactively drive solutions.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to balance strategic thinking and execution.
• Proven ability to work effectively across business, operational, and technology functions.
• Knowledge of commodity trading, risk management, and trade-to-cash processes is preferred.
• Experience supporting ETRM/CTRM platforms and trading system implementations is an advantage.
• Direct experience with Gas, Power and LNG Trading business processes, systems, and market operations is a significant advantage.
