Body and Movement Teacher (Toddler- 2nd Grade)
Akron Global School believes that childhood is not a preparation for life. It is life itself.
We are building, from the ground up, a school and a pedagogical team with a clear purpose: to offer children, from Toddlers through 2nd Grade, an educational experience that respects their time, their curiosity, and their capacity to construct knowledge through relationships, inquiry, and meaningful experiences.
We are looking for a Body & Movement Teacher to create experiences that recognize the body and movement as essential dimensions of child development. In Early Childhood, the body is one of the primary ways children understand themselves, explore their environment, build relationships, and construct knowledge.
The professional will design and facilitate experiences that foster motor coordination, balance, body awareness, strength, mobility, spatial awareness, and self-expression through movement , while respecting each child's developmental stage and individual pace.
We are looking for someone who understands physical activity as more than sports or performance, recognizing movement as a language and as an essential part of children's motor, cognitive, social, and emotional development.
