Software Engineer – Manufacturing

We are looking for a Software Engineer to support the development of digital solutions for manufacturing operations. The role will involve designing, building, and maintaining scalable web applications, APIs, and backend services that improve operational efficiency, data visibility, and process automation across manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain complex web applications for manufacturing use cases.
• Build and integrate APIs to connect frontend applications, backend services, and databases.
• Work with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and convert them into reliable technical solutions.
• Develop frontend features using modern JavaScript frameworks such as React.
• Build backend services using frameworks such as Django and/or .NET.
• Write efficient database queries and work with relational databases using SQL.
• Participate in Scrum meetings and follow the software development lifecycle from requirement gathering to deployment.
• Troubleshoot technical issues, analyse alternatives, and implement effective solutions.
• Maintain code quality using version control, peer reviews, and software engineering best practices.

Required Skills and Experience

• Proven experience in software development using JavaScript, Python, C#, or similar programming languages.
• Experience developing and maintaining complex web applications.
• Strong knowledge of databases, SQL, and data-driven application development.
• Experience working with APIs and backend integrations.
• Good understanding of the full software development lifecycle.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, evaluate options, and deliver practical solutions.

Desirable Skills

• Experience with GitHub or other version control platforms.
• Experience with cloud computing, preferably Microsoft Azure Services.
• Understanding of microservices architecture.
• Hands-on experience with React for frontend development.
• Experience with backend frameworks such as Django and/or .NET.
• Exposure to manufacturing systems, operational data, or industrial digital transformation projects would be an advantage.
