Job Description: Associate Product Manager – AI-Powered Core Banking Bolt-ons & Adjacencies

About the Role

We are looking for an Associate Product Manager (APM) to identify, conceptualize, and help build innovative bolt-on and adjacent solutions around the Core Banking ecosystem.

Reporting to the Product Manager, the APM will develop a deep understanding of Core Banking platforms, surrounding applications, banking operations, and evolving market needs to identify business problems that can be solved without replacing or materially disrupting the underlying core.

The APM will help define the product vision, roadmap, user experience, business case and go-to-market strategy for reusable solutions that integrate with and augment existing banking platforms through AI, data, APIs, workflow orchestration, automation, and modern digital experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Core Banking Ecosystem & Problem Discovery

• Develop strong understanding of core banking capabilities including customer, accounts, deposits, transactions, payments, lending, interest/fees, servicing, product configuration and general ledger.
• Understand surrounding systems including digital banking, CRM, payments, cards, lending, KYC/AML, fraud, treasury, finance, document management, customer communications and enterprise data platforms.
• Analyze end-to-end banking journeys to identify process gaps, manual interventions, data silos, integration challenges, poor user experiences and capabilities constrained by legacy cores.
• Engage with banks, operations teams and domain SMEs to identify recurring problems that can be converted into scalable product opportunities.

Bolt-on Solutions & Adjacencies

• Identify and define bolt-on products that extend, simplify or modernize capabilities of existing Core Banking platforms without requiring core replacement.
• Discover adjacent product opportunities around customer servicing, deposits, payments, lending, operations, risk, compliance, data and other interconnected banking domains.
• Evaluate opportunities for reusable solutions such as Intelligent servicing and operations layers, Customer and account 360, Cross-system workflow and process orchestration, etc
• Build solutions that are core-agnostic wherever practical, allowing them to integrate with multiple legacy and modern Core Banking platforms.

Preferred Credentials

• 7–10 years of experience in banking product management specially with bolt-on solutions for Core Banking
• Strong knowledge of Core Banking platforms and end-to-end banking processes.
• Understanding of the broader banking ecosystem across deposits, payments, lending, digital channels, CRM, risk/compliance, operations, finance and data.
• Demonstrated ability to identify platform gaps and convert business problems into product opportunities.
• Exposure to APIs, integration, cloud, data platforms, workflow automation, AI/ML, GenAI or Agentic AI.
• Strong skills in product discovery, market analysis, roadmap development, UX and feature prioritization.
• Ability to develop business cases, value propositions and GTM propositions.
• Strong business, analytical and stakeholder-management capabilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, Finance, Business or related discipline; MBA or relevant banking/product credentials desirable.
