The Impact You'll Make

As our Engineer- Data Science Technologies, you’ll play a key role as part of the Data Science Technologies Team within the DIIC Innovation & Development organization, at Danfoss Power Solutions. Based in Magarpatta, India, this role reports to the Senior Manager, Data Science Technologies.

Your impact?

You will design and develop new architectures of ‘Digital Solutions’, along with exposure to solution deployments that meet application-specific technical and futuristic technology in the domain of ‘AI & Data Science’. You’ll collaborate with the DIIC I&D and Engineering organization and take ownership of deployed solutions and algorithms.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Responsible to create data architectures & data integration activities needed for not only business critical processes, but also for machines & equipment in factories. Responsible for entire data architecture from factory asset to cloud, enabling the ‘Intelligent Solutions’.
• Support ‘Business Intelligence’ projects enabling AI- assisted salaried productivity and creating tangible solution which stakeholders can use to see business impact.
• Support business system integration activities for projects aligned with the theme ‘Factories of Future’ and ‘Process Intelligence’.
• AI capability building– learn by doing: success story creation with cross-functional teams from BU/ Divisions & shared services
• Have good understanding of ‘Agentic AI’ systems & willingness to develop ‘AI Agents’ in-line with application/ business specific requirements.

What We're Looking For

• Any Engineering graduate (B.E./ B.Tech.) with 2–4 years of experience, including internships, academic projects, or entry-level roles in data science, AI/ML solution developments, operations analytics, or related fields with relevant project experience.
• MUST HAVE hands-on experience with Python and other programming languages to develop and deploy AI/ML solutions
• Hands-on experience with OCR (Optical Character Recognition), object detection, and time-series prediction for taking engineering decisions.
• Good to have knowledge about Computer Vision algorithms
• Hands-on experience with field data analysis and providing actionable insights.
• Hands-on experience with Power BI, including dashboard creation, data refresh, validation, and working with large datasets.
• Foundational knowledge of SQL and exposure to Python or other programming language through coursework, certifications, or self-driven learning.
• Comfortable working in collaborative, cross-functional teams, with good communication skills and openness to feedback.
• High learning agility is greatly appreciated- candidates who have gone the extra mile to learn new tools or skills through courses, certifications, side projects, or hands-on experimentation in AI/ ML domain is preferred.
• Publication in high-quality journals or reputed conferences is highly desirable
