The purpose of the role is to lead various automation initiatives pertaining to strategic accounts in a BU ensuring better client engagement

Skill Requirement

1. Scripting Developer - Ansible playbooks on RHEL and Windows. Shell, Powershell, Python is desirable

2. Familiarity with product knowledge in order of Oracle, MSSQL, PostgreSQL and MongoDB

 

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test and maintain Ansible playbooks, roles and inventories to automate RHEL and Windows server environments.
• Automate OS-level tasks such as server build and configuration, patching, user and access management, service management, hardening, health checks and housekeeping.
• Use Shell, PowerShell and Python scripts to complement Ansible automation where needed.
• Build idempotent, reusable and well-documented automation with proper error handling and logging.
• Apply a working understanding of Oracle, MSSQL, PostgreSQL and MongoDB, such as their OS prerequisites, services, ports, file systems and common operational dependencies, so that automation supports the servers hosting them.
• Work with infrastructure, platform and database teams to identify and automate repetitive manual tasks.
• Maintain code in version control and follow review and release practices.
• Document playbooks, runbooks and usage guides, and support the automation after deployment.
• Support incident, change and request automation within ITIL processes, and provide L2/L3 support for automation failures.
