Analyst II, Customer Insights & Analytics

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

Build a deep, evidence-based understanding of the Dollar Tree shopper through marketplace, panel, survey, qualitative, and customer research, and translate that understanding into customer centric assortment and marketing decisions.


ESSENTIAL ACTIVITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Support the development and execution of merchandising strategies and decision making by delivering actionable insights derived from syndicated data and customer research.

·       Support strategic initiatives with analytics utilizing Nielsen, Numerator, 1010data, Circana, and customer research.

·       Pull data from multiple business sources and build narratives to communicate trends.

·       Assist in development and maintenance of reporting tools and Power BI dashboards.

·       Evaluate large datasets to develop white space and assortment recommendations.

·       Support shopper journey and path-to-purchase research.

·       Collect and utilize customer insights to further define segmentation.

·       Triangulate customer research with syndicated and internal data.

·       Connect customer insights, data, and analytics to identify assortment or marketing changes.

·       Assist with senior leader presentations and recommendations.

·       Support customer segmentation and personalized marketing strategies.

·       Lead organizational insight training efforts.


EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIRED

·       Bachelor degree and 1-3 years experience.

·       Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

·       Exposure to primary customer research (Survey, Focus Groups)

·       Hands-on data mining experience with Nielsen, Circana, Numerator, or 1010data.

·       Detail-oriented and comfortable with numerical data.

·       Strong written and verbal communication skills.

·       Demonstrated initiative and independence.

·       Team player in a collaborative environment.

·       Deadline oriented.

·       Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.

·       Must be willing to relocate to Chesapeake, VA.

Start Rate = $105,000 - $118,500K based on experience plus 20% bonus and equity.
