AIVC - Senior AI Engineer (Studio)

AIVC Studio: builds AI ventures from validated concepts to shipped products.

Comp: $190K-$250K + Bonus, platform equity, studio fund participation, PE fund carry. Location: Hybrid, 3 days in office (21st & Broadway NYC or Chicago). Visa: Visa transfers (OPT, H1B).

Responsibilities

• Build end-to-end agentic AI systems (agents, retrieval, orchestration, tools) for Studio ventures 0-to-1 through PMF

• Take a venture's first product from scope to ship, then harden for production

• Extract reusable primitives across builds

• Shape what gets built with product strategists and design partners

• Operate across different venture contexts; thrive in ambiguity

Tech stack: Python, LLMs, Agentic AI frameworks, RAG/retrieval, ML model serving, Eval & regression suites, CI/CD, Observability

Requirements

• 2-5+ yrs at top quant (Citadel, Two Sigma, DE Shaw, Jane Street) or elite tech (Google, Stripe, Ramp, Databricks, Modal) with clear individual output

• Shipped and operated production AI systems with real users

• Entrepreneurial instinct (side project, startup, internal 0-to-1)

• Top-tier STEM degree

• Commercial EQ with non-technical stakeholders

• Hybrid 3 days NYC or Chicago
