Job Summary:
Lead the verification and validation activities for embedded software products, ensuring high-quality, reliable, and compliant solutions throughout the product lifecycle. Drive test strategy, automation, system integration, and validation efforts while mentoring engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Primary responsibilities:
• Lead V&V activities across the embedded software and system lifecycle.
• Define test strategies, plans, test cases, and validation reports.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, performance, and system testing.
• Drive hardware-software integration and requirements traceability.
• Lead cybersecurity testing, vulnerability assessment, and security validation.
• Ensure compliance with safety and cybersecurity standards.
• Mentor V&V engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Qualification / Requirement:
• Bachelor's or master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science, Embedded Systems, or related disciplines.
• 8+ Years of experience in embedded software verification and validation.
• Proficiency in C/C++, Python, test automation, and debugging of embedded systems.
• Experience with RTOS/Linux-based platforms, communication protocols, and integration testing.
• Knowledge of safety-critical development processes and industry standards.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• 3+ years of experience leading teams or technical workstream
Essential Requirements:
• Strong expertise in Embedded Systems Testing and Validation.
• Experience with Embedded C/C++, RTOS, and hardware-software integration.
• Knowledge of communication protocols such as CAN, Ethernet, SPI, I2C, and UART.
• Experience with test automation using Python or similar scripting languages.
• Understanding of safety standards such as EN 50128, EN 50657, EN 50126, EN 50129, IEC 61508, or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience in cybersecurity testing aligned with IEC 62443, TS 50701, NIST CSF, and secure product development practices.
• Strong problem-solving, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Desired Requirements :
• Experience in Railway Rolling Stock, railway safety-critical systems.
• Exposure to threat modelling, vulnerability assessment, and penetration testing.
• Experience with tools such as Polarion, Git
• Functional Safety or Cybersecurity certifications are an added advantage.
• Experience supporting safety certification and regulatory compliance activities.
Work Model: Onsite(5 Days a week)
Reporting: Engineering Manager, Transit Software Team
Travel: Domestic/International- None
Domain Preference: Railway, Transportation, Industrial Automation, Safety-Critical Embedded Systems
Physical Requirement:
•Shall be able to be work on Onsite at WITEC VKTP Bengaluru facility and collaborate with team members
•Efficient enough to work long hours on Laptop/System as required by project needs
