Administrative Assistant

Immingham    

Monday -Friday

DSV are recruiting for a reliable and self-motivated administrative assistant at our offices in Immingham,   to meet customer requirements for the safe and efficient transport of their cargo effectively and in accordance with company operational procedures and statutory requirements including Health and Safety to the satisfaction of clients and the profit of the company.

What will you be doing?

• Communicate effectively in a professional manner with customers to ensure their traffic requirements are fulfilled in line with their booking instructions.
• Liaise with partner offices in the UK and abroad, reporting any discrepancies or specific requirements
• Ensure legislative compliance in all areas
• Ensure that the company operates within all agreed operational procedures and within statutory requirements including the provision and maintenance of a safe working environment
• Prepare correct documentation to the warehouse, haulage, Distribution and Shipping departments for loading/off loading cargo to vehicles in a timely manner
• Liaise with compliance depts, linehaul depts & warehouse and confirm availability of equipment to ensure smooth processes and lead times are met according to production requirements

About You

• Previous administration experience preferred.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping.
• Experience within a warehouse or logistics environment is desirable but not essential.
• Strong team player with a proactive approach.
• Able to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
• Customer-focused with a positive attitude.
