Accountant (6 months FTC)

We’re looking for a hands-on, result focused qualified accountant to work with the financial control team to support the scalable improvement and automation of financial processes whilst maintaining robust financial controls in our rapidly growing electric vehicle leasing business.

 You will be working with the financial control team to perform and support the development and automation of financial processes that include; day-to-day asset and asset financial reconciliations, financial management and reporting and other month-end tasks. 

You'll drive end-to-end process improvement across our operational accounting related to asset financing and treatment, timely balance sheet accuracy and broader business operations. Identifying inefficiencies and re-engineering how things work, not just keeping them running. This includes overhauling the bank posting and asset financing reconciliation processes to build a more robust, scalable framework; supporting monthly balance sheet reconciliation; and analysing variances whilst partnering with the team, wider business, and funders to diagnose root causes and embed lasting fixes. 

We need someone that has a great eye for detail, is self-driven to own accounts and processes, is able to automate processes using large data sets and assist with other improvements in a fast growing business.

What you'll do...

• Identify and drive new processes to remove repetitive tasks and create efficiencies 

• Understand business needs and implement automation with the use of AI as appropriate

• Perform reconciliations and resolve variances promptly 

• Month end reporting, including journals and financial analysis

• Tracking and reporting on vehicles purchased on a weekly basis, with business stakeholders

• Work closely with our Finance Operations team to resolve reconciliation issues

• Manage creditor and debtor ledgers and deal with any queries regarding payments or receipts

What you'll need...

• Experience working in a Finance team

• Experience using accounting software and data tools (Netsuite preferred) 

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)

• Advanced Excel skills

• Strong communication skills

• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

• Proactive attitude towards your work

• Experience in a scale-up, high-transaction environment with evolving needs
