Accenture Construct – Engineer IV (Electrical), ANS
You've Never Been Satisfied with "Good Enough."
You didn't get into this to manage one piece of a project. You got into it to change how the world gets built.
At Accenture Construct, that's the job. You'll help deliver the data centers, power grids, rail networks, factories and public infrastructure that keep communities moving — smarter, safer and more sustainably.
You'll work alongside people who think big and act bold: project managers, engineers, technologists and strategists who pair real-world delivery with AI. And you won't be handed a slice of it. We take on whole programs, from early strategy through construction and handover, and we stand behind how they land.
Because “good enough” builds the past. You're here to build what's next. Visit us here to learn more about Accenture Construct As Accenture continues to grow, you may see a variety of new career opportunities, and depending on the role and location you may be directed to apply through Accenture LLP or one of our other legal entities - Accenture Construct LLC or Accenture Construct Inc., with benefits varying by country and role, so please check with your recruiter for details.THE WORK:
- You’ll provide electrical engineering guidance, evaluations, and recommendations to Project Managers and the Sustainability Strike Team across districtwide sustainability and energy initiatives.
- You’ll assess existing electrical infrastructure, equipment, and associated building systems to identify current conditions, system performance, capacity, deficiencies, and upgrade opportunities, and document your findings and recommendations in existing-conditions reports.
- You’ll perform and review load studies, capacity evaluations, feasibility studies, and other technical analyses supporting project scoping, design, and implementation.
- You’ll evaluate whether proposed upgrades are compatible with existing electrical and building systems, coordinating with District personnel, Campus Administration, College Project Teams, the Program Management Office, consultants, utilities, and other engineering disciplines to identify integration needs and constraints.
- You’ll develop and validate technical Scopes of Work, requirements, specifications, deliverables, procurement documents, and evaluation criteria for design and construction services, including support for project establishment and White Paper development under applicable BuildLACCD PMO Standard Operating Procedures.
- You’ll serve as an electrical engineering subject-matter expert for PV, BESS, microgrids, EV charging, building electrification, central plant decarbonization, lighting, smart controls, and associated electrical infrastructure.
- You’ll review engineering studies, designs, technical specifications, submittals, RFIs, requests for clarification, and change-order proposals, providing recommendations that help Project Managers and other decision-makers resolve engineering, constructability, and systems-integration issues.
- You’ll support field visits, design and construction meetings, commissioning, and closeout activities, applying relevant California energy and electrical codes, Title 24, applicable ASHRAE guidance, District standards, and sustainability principles to technical reviews and recommendations.
- Onsite at client site: The work location for this role is onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships.
HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- A current California Professional Engineer license in Electrical Engineering
- At least seven years of professional electrical engineering experience in design, construction, or facilities-infrastructure projects
BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:
- At least two years of experience supporting educational-facility design or construction projects, particularly for California community colleges or other public educational institutions
- Experience supporting large public-works capital-improvement programs, including electrical infrastructure assessments, load studies, utility coordination, or electrical service-capacity evaluations
- Experience with Photovoltaic systems, Battery Energy Storage Systems, microgrids, electric-vehicle charging infrastructure, building electrification, or central plant electrical infrastructure
- Experience integrating electrical infrastructure with Building Management Systems and building-automation controls
- Experience reviewing electrical engineering designs, technical specifications, and construction documents, or familiarity with Division of the State Architect design, approval, and construction processes
- Experience using Bluebeam Revu or Building Information Modeling tools and processes, or experience or certification in Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design or Collaborative for High Performance Schools projects
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU
- The biggest builds going. Hyperscale data centers, grid and generation, transit and rail, chip fabs, mines, water. If it's complex and it matters, it's on our list.
- You own the outcome. Not a workstream. Not a deliverable. Whether the program lands.
- AI that shows up on site. Program control that predicts instead of records. You'll use it, and you'll help shape it.
- Scale without the distance. More than 5,000 practitioners across the Americas, EMEA and APAC, on a team small enough that people know your name.
- Serious investment in you. Leadership development, technical upskilling and certification support.
- Work that outlasts you. People will use what you build for forty years without knowing your name. That's the point.
- Recognition that means something in this industry. Accenture Construct is ranked #6 globally in ENR's 2026 Top 50 Program Management Firms and #4 in Building Design + Construction's Top 80 Construction Management Firms for 2026.
